“Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning
to find out going to the mountains is going home; that wilderness is a
necessity...”
― John Muir

Mountains have long been a fascination of mine.
Though I was
well into my twenties before I saw my first peak, it left quite an
impression on me that is beyond the scope of this blog post.
In the years following, I have visited every
major mountain chain the continental U.S. – Blue Ridge, The Presidentials,
Smokies, Rockies, Sierras, and on and on.
None of them compare to the Himalayas.
The view from my plane was amazing. I can’t wait to get a closer look.
